5An excellent shaver for an excellent priceDec 16, 2008
By Dude... "MinM"
This shaver really deserves all five stars, because
1) it gives a very comfortable shave (felt nothing at all),
2) pretty close shave,
3) 1-hr charge and not noisy at all,
4)washable and has a pouch,
5) element of surprise (for most Remingtons I've tried sucked).
So, bottom line - very recommended, very decent, very competitive. And I actually like the way it pivots sideways.

2A Case of Getting What You Pay ForSep 17, 2010
By James Takahashi "jmtt77"
Shaving with blades and foam is a hassle, and in this era where a little stubble can be as much of a fashion statement as a sign of laziness, an electric shaver makes a lot of sense.

But paying over $100 for an electric also doesn't make much sense in an era where we can get three pretty good, multi-blade disposables for a buck. I therefore decided to give the reasonably-priced Remington F-710 Titanium Series Shaver a try.

As expected, the closeness of the shave is merely adequate when compared to blade-and-foam. On the flip side, and also as expected, the convenience factor is a huge step up from blade-and-foam. The cleaning system that allows you to run water through the heads while the motor is running is much more convenient than my previous electric that required periodic cleaning with a brush (and oiling).

And it WAS nice to have the pop up trimmer to do a little touch up around the ears and sideburns. Sadly, the edge trimming is now past tense since it was connected to the motor by a flimsy piece of plastic that broke off after using the shaver for about 6-months (and I probably only used the trimmer once a week during that time). The overall feel of the product seems sort of flimsy, and given its low price, I feel I got what I paid for. The shaver does have a 2-year warranty, and I assume I can get a replacement piece of junk, but at this price point, the hassle and expense of a return feels like more trouble than it's worth.

2Not what I expectedJul 28, 2008
By Jason Turner
This shaver will give the same shave as my 3 year old Remington shaver.
I bought this model because it will work cordless or corded. This lets you finish shaving if the charge runs out before you are finished. The charge indicator is a nice feature as well as the fully charged indicator.
The micro screen cover is not attached very well and continues to pop loose during shaving, and this model takes about twice as long to shave compared to my older shaver.
Lastly, Remington does give a good shave but not as close as a blade as their ads state.
