4Very good phone...Jun 29, 2008
By K. Carney
This phone meets my needs - no interference when talking, no answering machine, functions are easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the numbers do not light up when dialing, so unless you are in a well-lit room, you will have trouble seeing the numbers. Other than that, I am very satisfied with its performance. It has a very clear signal, which was my main concern.

the battery life is terrible, they power off mid conversation and if left uncradled for a day u have to recharge AGAIN for a full day....has a speakerphone feature and for some reason every time i try to use it the phone powers off!
when they DO work, they are pretty clear and dont get intereference. intercom feature a plus.

1Phone is ok while it lastsApr 07, 2010
By Elizabeth "bethika"
These phones were fine, but as one other user mentioned, one of my 2 handsets started to lose connection to the base and within a few months the other phone did the same thing. I've had these phones for less than 2 years and expected them to last longer than that.

What happens is that the phone rings, you push on answer, and the phone dies. You cannot turn it back on again without setting it in the cradle. Most of the time, it keeps dying and you don't get to answer the phone unless you luck out.

3Beware of expansion limitJun 09, 2010
By James E. Trost "JET"
Overall I am satisfied with the phone system. However, there is one "feature" that is not well documented. I found out the hard way. We needed to expand our original system which came with 3 handsets to 5 handsets. When I tried to register the new handsets to the system, only one would register. I finally found in the online Panasonic tech support information that the system has a 4 handset limit. Nothing in the printed materials or the Amazon description indicated this limit. This is disappointing; now I am going to have to buy a second system to get the needed additional handset. Note: After writing the original review, I found another "feature" of the phone that I was not aware of. The phone is NOT hearing aid compatible, or at least does not appear to be. This is a major inconvenience.

4Great extensionSep 11, 2009
By K. Lamoreaux
We got this phone to go with the set of 3 we already had. It works perfectly. The greatest convenience these phones offer is that we can have a phone in any room without having to get new jacks. Just plug it in to an electrical outlet and you have an extension. The reception is good even if it is away from the base. The user can retrieve messages from any extension. It also works as an intercom system between rooms if needed. I do have some problem with the sound quality at times. I haven't been able to adjust the volume to my liking and sometimes the caller's voice is too loud to completely understand. On the whole, I would recommend this set.
