great value for the priceSep 27, 2011
By tdog113 I purchased two of these tiny monsters from amazon as a cheap way to get alot of bass quickly because I sold my faithful AudioQue HDC3 15 and my Fi Q 12 is awaiting a new enclosure. Honestly, the value is hard to beat for the price. I had low expectations for Kicker coming from using AQ and Fi subwoofers for quite a while, and Kicker has exceeded my $150 price-range expectations. I have them in a sealed box (1.85 cubes/chamber) as a temp in my Ford Ranger, being powered by an AudioQue 1200 amp at 1 ohm. The subs are EXTREMELY responsive in a sealed box (bass drum kicks flow through you like a punch to the chest); every note is tight and well defined. Although I haven't built a ported box yet (i plan to for sure), I would assume that 2 of these in a ported box could satisfy any basshead with the right amp.
Would i recommend this? by all means, yes. just remember, your sub(s) will only sound good if you have a good amp and enclosure.
