No brainer upgrade for any Alpine head unitJan 27, 2010
By HomeTHJunkie Added this to a CDE-102 in an '08 Altima Sedan. Still running stock speakers.
Pros: Installed in 20 minutes, great improvement in sound levels and mid-bass especially at normal listening levels. No cutting/rewiring.
Cons: Slight amount of background noise between tracks. Not noticeable during any type of playback, just in the silent parts in-between.
Overall: No brainer upgrade for any alpine head unit. piece of cake to install and the improvement (for the money) is outstanding. Can't find a decent amp for $100 to run 4 speakers. This does it easily. Actually looking forward to replacing the stock speakers someday (without the wiring hassle).

KTP 445 Head Unit Power PackAug 03, 2009
By R. Woermann More than what i had expected, hooked up to a cda 9887 and made it sound even better. Didn't want the hassles of running seperate wires for amp so purchased this, plug and play and extremely simple to install. Upgraded speakers and am impressed with the sound quality.

BIG POWER in a small packageOct 23, 2009
By R. Hill Man, where to start. With this amp, you don't need the expensive amp kit. You don't need to run any lengthy wires throughout the car. This amp fits behind the dash out of site. This amp has a lot of power for the small size. I was so amazed with the sound quality this amp has. It has deep lows, and clean highs. It produces nice sound in my SPS-600c and KFC-6982IE. The amp compliments nice with my 12" Type R and MRP-M500. Now I can turn it up loud with no distortion.

This is an excellent amplifier... yes, it deserves that title...Mar 12, 2011
By motoxdreaming I have Alpine's CDA 117 HU, KTP 445 power pack, SPG-17cs components, 6x8 full range rears and completely dynamated doors. I was a bit skeptical of this "power pack" at first because I have always had big amps for my components with headroom to spare in terms of power. At only 45rms this little amp is truely respectable and can really produce a rich soundstage. I originally had it powering rockford fosgate 6x8 two ways in the front doors. While I could tell there was a power increase, it made the speakers louder in a bad way. Way too bright and pitchy. My point is that when my SPG components finally came, this little amp really showed me what it can do. 45rms from this thing is really all you could ask for- even up the higher ends of volume. It is powerful enough to make those components absolutely shine. Rich and full mid bass with crisp response and accurate detail. There are details in CD's that you will never be able to experience without the right setup. I kid you not, this little amp is very good with the right stuff to go along with it. If you have yet to buy a HU, do yourself a favor and get the CDA 117- that brown burr decoder is ridicuously good! Simplicity, size, price and above all genuine sound quality potential make this a hot item. One key note is that with a low quality deck, low quality speakers or no insulation- all you are going to get is a little more noise from your speakers. But if you do it all right, this amp can seriously satisfy your appreciation for rich, detailed music. Ive read this thing will only work when connected to FOUR speakers AND it is not able to be bridged to power just your components (I had that idea) But even at 45rms this thing kicks butt. Alpine made a believer out of me.

Awesome!Jun 20, 2010
By B. Conklin This little device made a bigger difference than i though. Rather than spending 300 for an amp, i paid $100 for something that does just as good in my opinion. glad i saved money and got this. You wont be sorry you purchased this. Makes listening at higher volumes more tolerable because it knocks out static and provides the full and detailed sound. Easy to install as well!
