2Not very impressiveMar 11, 2010

I did buy this as a refurbished unit. It's hard to maintain a real sharp focus, but easy to set up and use. The other problem I have is if I keep the camera plugged into the computer I sometimes get a blue screen that indicates a driver problem. This was the last device I installed so I can only assume that it's the webcam. While unplugged the problem never occurs. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them. I searched for new drivers and there are none. So I use it when I use SKYPE and unplug when done. None of my SKPE friends noticed the soft focus, so for what I paid is serves it's purpose.

3Nice, but not in the sunFeb 05, 2008

In looking for a camera to point out the window, I bought and tried this one. Not the right choice.

It does most things well--recognized by XP without drivers (shows up as a video input device under My Computer), very compact, nice picture quality, long cord, and a manual focus ring. It has an unobtrusive blue LED when powered on, and even connected via USB1 produced a high-framerate video stream.

But, when you try to use it in bright light--full sunlight or even cloudy daylight--the picture washes out badly and is basically useless. If you're using it for standard webcam stuff--sitting in front of your screen with maybe a light on in the room--it's a nice camera. Point it out the window, not so much.

Of course, most inexpensive webcams seem to do the same (lack of aperture control and adjusted to operate under very poor lighting, basically), so it's not necessarily worse than others in the category.

5Web Cam, Creative LabsDec 07, 2011

A USB Web Cam, it is very good. Has built in mic that is also very good. Haws adjustable focus which is good. I use it every day. Have bought additional copies and given them to friends that I think that should be on Skype :-0 Bought from Amazon, delivery was fast.

4Good for the priceOct 18, 2010

It is a reasonably priced web cam. It arrived promptly, installed quickly, and works fine. It comes with good features, but the face tracking doesnt work well when you use many cam (which has its own face tracking). Just turn off this web cams face tracking if you use many cam and it'll be fine. If you don't use many cam, the face tracking on this works great.

I bought 3 of this for $30 in total, and all work well. What a steal deal!

Update 1/29/2011:

I don't know why the review for this product here is so low. I have been using this for one year and all there of them work perfectly. The accompany software is also great. We can create animated avatars with our photos. The pictures from webcam is bright and clear and works very well in dark, even without light. It has an interesting function that can search for our faces when we don't appear clearly in front of the webcam.
