My first flat iron just wasn't cutting it, plus the tip of it broke off. This is my second flat iron, and it works wonderfully. I love how I can use the right temperature for my hair type (fine, wavy), and it makes my hair so smooth and silky! I don't know how the more expensive ones work, but I'll bet they cannot beat this one! I highly recommend it.
