Excellent headsetNov 04, 2006
By Don Jones

I'm very happy with this headset - I frequently review technology products for a column I write, and this is a product I was happy to actually purchase. The sound is clear (perhaps *slightly* tinny at times, but not often), and it connects wonderfully fast to my phone (a Cingular 8125). I particularly like the charger - it's small enough to be readily portable, so I don't have to lug yet another plug around. I can plu the charging stalk into the same USB-style charger my phone uses - two-in-one! Or, either of them can charge from my laptop, or even, I discovered, an iPod power brick. Nice. The headset is simple to operate. If I have one complaint, it's that the volume buttons are a bit touchy to hit without hitting the middle button and hanging up on someone, which means I'm often too scared to use the mute function (which requires a quick up/down volume tap sequence). That's maybe a quarter star off; otherwise, it's one of the nicer headsets I've used.

Excellent - works great with LG VX8300Sep 03, 2006

The x3 performs great with my Verizon LG vx8300, including controlling the voice command features. [Note: I also have a Blueant Supertooth II which has some compatability problems with the LG vx8300, so i'm happy to see that the X3 doesn't have the same problems]
Design is great. It's very light and compact, the ear hook fits me fine and makes the phone quite secure. I guess it could get a little uncomfortable during long usage, but it's not bad.
Performance is good. Some LG vx8300 users have reported some echo. I experienced it the first time I used it too, but was able to elminate it through adjustments to the volume of both my phone and the X3. I'm able to hear loud and clear, and my callers do not report any issues with voice quality.
The multiple charging options are an excellent feature. I like the triple-use flexible "cord" that attaches to a USB port, the AC adapter and car adapter.
All in all, I think it's an excellent product and a great value. Highly recommended.

Annoying StaticNov 06, 2006
By Ravindranath Papineni

I agree with other reviews about the design features and charging options but those things come secondary if static over takes them. The static is real even the phone is only inches away from the unit. Unlike my earlier Bluetooth devices this one has really short range...like 3 feet. I can not live with static so this one is going back.Sorry Blueant.

Works perfectly.Nov 18, 2006
By PA Chef I've used this headset for over a month now with my SE w810i and I've had zero problems with it. No static on my end and no one I ever talk to has any complaints, either. I bought a second headset for my wife's Nokia 6682 and she loves it, as well.
The battery on this lasts quite a long time, too. I use the headset on my way to work, on my way home and when I'm out and about on weekends - about 4 hours a day; and I have yet to charge it.

Has problemsOct 24, 2006
By A Pen Name I bought this item on seeing many positive reviews here and on other sites. I liked the design, easy access to keys and ability to charge the device in a different ways.
As advertised the device connected effortlessly to my LG VX8300 (Verizon) phone.
Unfortunately, the voice reception quality was very poor. I had to speak in a very loud voice -- even in a quiet room -- for it to correctly transmit my voice to the phone. In the car with the windows rolled up and radio turned off -- I was unable to get it to pick up what I said.
The ear clip design is poor and my piece became loose within a day of use.
I may have received a defective piece -- since my negative review appears to be an outlier. I wanted to share my experience for the benefit of people purchasing this item.
